COA: Lunch & Learn: Flooding & Climate (Rm 18)

Event Date:
Tuesday, April 9, 2024 - 11:00am to 12:30pm

Concerned about flooding? Want to learn more about how Millis is responding and how you can be prepared?

Millis seniors are invited to join Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW) and Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) on Tuesday, April 9, 11am, to learn about flooding impacts in Millis and across our watershed!

This event is in person at the Millis Council on Aging -- 900 Main St, Millis. It will be conducted in English.

We'll share how local projects like tree planting, wetland restoration, and rain gardens help address flooding and benefit our environment. We'll also distribute emergency preparedness resources and support neighbor-to-neighbor conversations, where we learn from each other and inform local leaders on how they can best support your community.

To learn more about the Charles River Flood Model, go to: www.crwa.org/watershed-model

Reserve your spot by calling the Council on Aging at (508) 376-7051 by Friday, April 5.
