Healthy Aging Programs at the Millis Public Library!

Know the 10 Signs of Alzheimer's
Tuesday, March 10th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Alzheimer’s and other dementias cause changes in memory, thinking and behavior that interfere with daily life. Join us to learn about 10 common warning signs and what to watch for in yourself and others.

The one-hour program covers:
» Typical age-related changes.
» Common warning signs of Alzheimer’s.
» How to approach someone about memory concerns.
» Early detection, the benefits of a diagnosis and the diagnostic process.
» Alzheimer’s Association resources.

Savvy Caregivers
Tuesdays from March 17th through April 28th; 1:30-3:30pm

The Savvy Caregiver Program is a FREE six-session training series for family and friends who are active caregivers of a loved one with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. This six week program will run from Mar. 17th through Apr. 28th. 


Savvy Caregiver will help you:
• Understand the impact of dementia on you and the person you are caring for.
• Learn the skills you need to manage daily life and strategies to minimize stress.
• Take control and set goals.
• Communicate more effectively.
• Strengthen family resources.
• Achieve better balance between caregiving and your own self-care.
