Proposed FEMA Flood Insurance Maps - Appeal Period 9/1/23-12/1/23

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued the Federal Insurance Flood Maps, and the Town of Millis will be required to adopt a revised zoning bylaw to accompany them. There is a 90-day appeal period, starting 9/1/23, when the Town may appeal the proposed flood hazard information on the preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report, as may ANY owner/lessee of real property who believes his or her property rights will be adversely affected by the proposed flood hazard determinations.
