        The Human Resources functions are coordinated by the Town Administrators Office and the Finance Office. The goal is to assist Town officials, employees, and prospective employees in a fair, consistent, and lawful manner. As well as to create and administer policies and practices that sustain a professional, efficient, and innovative workplace to ensure the success and effectiveness of the Towns departments so they may best serve the citizens of Millis. 

Our services include:

  • Administering the Personnel Bylaws, policies, and procedures
  • Designing and administering employee benefit programs
  • Maintaining employee classification and compensation plans
  • Managing town employee recruitment and selection
  • Monitoring personnel actions of all Town departments to ensure legal and policy compliance
  • Providing workers with compensation case management and administrative services
  • Assists in labor negotiations and contract administration for town employee unions
  • Coordination of benefits for retired employees

 

Needing to enroll in medical & dental coverage?

Existing employees can enroll in coverage during Open Enrollment (April - mid-May, effective July 1st of each year) or if there is a qualifying event (birth/adoption, marriage, involuntary loss of coverage, etc.) You must enroll within 60 days of your qualifying event.
