FY25 Open Enrollment

Wednesday, April 3 - Wednesday, May 1, 2024

Annual Open Enrollment offers eligible Town of Millis employees and retirees the opportunity to review GIC Healthcare benefit options, Altus Dental Insurance, and NEW Altus Vision Insurance. It gives subscribers the time to better understand the upcoming plan year changes, enroll in, update coverage, or cancel benefits effective July 1st, 2024.

 

Open Enrollment will begin Wednesday, April 3rd and will end Wednesday, May 1st.

Current subscribers do NOT need to re-enroll, unless you are electing to change an insurance plan. 

Health Insurance Plan Changes:

  • UniCare is changing its name to Wellpoint - please visit wellpointmass.com for more information.
  • All insurance premium payroll deductions will be updated in the first pay period in June 2024 to reflect FY25 rates - please review the FY25 rate sheet - HERE
  • Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Quality HMO is changing their list of "In Network" practices and providers. (Please reach out to Harvard Pilgrim with any questions.) Effective July 1, 2024 They no longer cover:
    • Affiliated Pediatric Practices             
    • Mass General Brigham Community Physicians                         
    • Emerson Health                                                       
    • Milford Regional Medical Group
    • Charles River Medical Associates                           
    • Mystic Healthcare 
    • Pentucket Medical                     

We encourage GIC members to review the GIC’s FY25 Benefit Guide to actively shop and evaluate different coverage options during the upcoming Annual Enrollment period for coverage effective July 1, 2024. 

We strongly encourage all members to register and use the myGIClink Members Benefits Portal. If you haven’t registered already, please do so HERE. 

Employees have the ability to request, sign and send enrollment forms to their Benefits Coordinator and GIC electronically HERE or through the Member Benefits Portal.

Dental Insurance Changes

  • Effective July 1,2024, all dental insurance premiums are increasing - please review the updated rates HERE

NEW - Altus Vision Insurance 

We are happy to announce that beginning July 1, 2024, we will be offering Altus Vision Insurance!

The plan offers a variety of coverage with 4 different options including Individual, Individual and Spouse, Individual and Child(ren), or Family.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA):

FlexChoice, Sentinel’s proprietary Flexible Spending Account (FSA) solution, helps employees pay for unreimbursed health care and dependent care expenses using pre-tax dollars. Make it easy for to become better health care consumers and manage their out-of-pocket costs.

 

No applications will be accepted after 4:00pm on May 1st. 

Office hours are Monday – 8:30am -7:30pm; Tuesday through Thursday – 8:30am-4:30pm; and Friday - 8:30am-12:30pm.
