Cultural Council
Mission Statement
The Millis Cultural Council is dedicated to promoting excellence, access, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in order to enhance the quality of life in our community.
The council strives to achieve these goals through the funding of local arts projects with grants and by hosting special fall and spring events in Millis.
The MCC is a part of a grass roots network of 329 local councils that serve cities and towns across Massachusetts. The Commonwealth's legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which allocates funds to each local council.
A board of municipally appointed volunteers decides which grant proposals to support. Anyone interested in serving on the Millis Cultural Council can fill out an application
