Millis Fire Rescue Headquarters

Mission Statement:    The mission of the Millis Fire Rescue department is to minimize the loss of life and property resulting from fire, medical emergencies and other disasters through prevention, preparedness and response. The Fire Rescue department will strive for excellence in the performance of duty and service to the community and the customers it serves. The department is committed to find better ways to protect the lives and property of its citizens from fire and other disasters and is dedicated to work together for the betterment of our community.

The Millis Fire Department is a combination department made up of 17 career personnel and 11 call personnel. The Department is made up of a Full-time fire chief, 4 full-time Lieutenants and 12 full-time firefighter / EMT's covering 24 hrs, 7 days a week, on a 24 hour rotating schedule. The Call department is made up of a Deputy Chief and 11 dedicated on call firefighters.

The department operates at the Advanced Life Support level of care for EMS, and staffs 2 ALS ambulances.

The Millis Fire Department responds to calls for fires, mva's, medicals, hazmat, rescues and mutual aid. The department responds to approx. 1,800 calls per year. The department also has an aggressive fire prevention program thru S.A.F.E and educates children from preschool to the 5th grade.
