Dog Licenses:

Annual Requirement: State Law mandates that all dogs over six months of age in the Commonwealth be licensed every year. Licenses expire on December 31st annually.

Dog License Registration Form - Fillable

Fees:

$10.00 per dog (neutered/spayed)

$15.00 per dog (not neutered/spayed)

Proof of rabies vaccination is required.

Deadline: License your dog by March 31st each year to avoid a $25.00 late fee per dog along with the regular license fee per dog beginning April 1st

Registration instructions:

Option 1: Online (Starting January 1 - see below): you can complete the online application and pay online, then email, mail, or drop off the rabies certificate

Option 2: Mail: Complete the registration form included in the census (or see the link above) and mail in with check or money order with rabies certificate

Option 3: In-Person: You can drop off the registration form included in the census (or see the link above) with payment (cash or check) and rabies certificate

Option 4: In-Person: You can come in with your payment (cash or check) and rabies certificate and fill out the form in office

Please Note: Please provide the rabies certificate even if you think we have it on file.  While we do have many of them on file, sometimes they have expired.  Providing the rabies certificate expedites the processing of the registration.The dog license tag will be mailed to you once your application has been processed.  All rabies certificates and/or spay/neuter certificates will be mailed back when the dog tag(s) are mailed.  For at least the first five months of the year (January - May), we will be mailing dog registrations only as it is the busiest time for us.
